TataWomen of Mettle Season X is Tata Steel's flagship annual competition for women engineering students, now in its tenth edition. Open to 2nd and 3rd year women students in core and tech engineering disciplines at selected campuses across India, the competition challenges teams to solve real-world technical problems from the steel industry, mentored by Tata Steel's senior leadership. The top 10 teams share a total scholarship pool of Rs 20 lakh. Top performers from the batch of 2028 receive an Inspire Internship offer, and top performers from the batch of 2027 receive a Pre-Placement Offer. Teams of 1 or 2, and registration closes October 8, 2026. Participants analyse actual operational, technical, and business challenges that Tata Steel's teams work on, present structured recommendations to senior leadership, and compete for outcomes that extend beyond prize money into employment at Tata Steel. Joining roles for scholars are MT Systems for CS and IT disciplines and MT Technical for all other engineering disciplines.
